In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, Ariston Canada Inc., formerly NTI Boilers, (“Ariston”) is conducting a recall of certain FTVN and TFTN series Boilers listed below. Ariston is recalling approximately 6,329 FTVN and TFTN series boilers manufactured by NTI between June 14th, 2021, and March 20th, 2023 (collectively, the “Boilers”). LIST OF AFFECTED BOILERS
NATURE OF THE ISSUE
The condensate dish inside the boiler can crack during a delayed ignition, allowing unburned gas to build up inside the sealed cabinet. If the gas ignites, the front cover can suddenly detach, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire, carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, and impact hazards.
The firm has received 34 reported incidents of the condensate dish breaking, including three reports of the front cover detaching from the boiler. In one reported incident the technician servicing the boiler sustained a broken jaw.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that can cause injuries including headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion, loss of consciousness and death to humans and animals.
Due to the severity of the safety hazard, it is critical that all owners and users of Boilers immediately stop using the Boiler and follow the instructions below. Failure to do so could lead to a delayed ignition event, which could result in serious injury or death. It is important that you immediately read and comply with this recall notice.

REPAIRING BOILERS SUBJECT TO THIS RECALL NOTICE
Ariston has developed a no-cost repair kit for all Boilers that must be installed to reduce the likelihood and severity of any delayed ignition.
The repair kit will consist of a new controller with revised software:
- FTVN models: Part No. 6501575600
- TFTN models: Part No. 6501575700
Repair Kits will be provided free of charge and must be installed by a certified technician. Ariston will reimburse eligible labor costs associated with installing the repair kit in accordance with standard service practices. The certified technician also will conduct a visual inspection of the boiler to evaluate the condition of the condensate dish. If the dish appears damaged in any way, Ariston will arrange for a replacement at no charge.
After performing the repair, the technician will conduct a combustion test using a gas analyzer to confirm proper combustion settings before returning the Boiler to operation. The technician will place a label in a prominent location (e.g., cross brace or front cover) to advise future technicians of the boiler’s repaired status.
As stated in the owner’s manual, and consistent with applicable building codes and legal requirements, it is important Boiler owners and users confirm that working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are installed in the boiler room, as well as in each unit or living space in the building, including on each level and outside all sleeping areas.
