Job Title: Western Regional Sales Manager

Base Location: TBD (target locations but not required: Seattle, NorCal, Denver)

Territory: Western USA (AK, WA, MT, ID, WY, CA, NV, UT, CO, AZ, NM)


  • Identify, initiate, develop and maintain effective relationships with key reps, wholesalers, contractors and specifying engineers.
  • Provide sales and technical training for those key reps, wholesalers, engineers and contractors to familiarize them with the lineup, operation and installation of NTI products;
  • Host regular sales and technical training sessions at NTI’s Burnaby BC office or at our representative office in San Jose, CA, or online via webinar or in person throughout the western region;
  • Develop materials as needed to support your sales and technical training. May include reviewing and editing existing presentation materials (sell sheets, spec sheets, submittal sheets, power points, etc.) and tailoring them to region specific issues to assist you in performing your role;
  • Coordinate training schedules with the Western Regional Technical Support & Trainer and VP Sales; implement online/real time scheduling coordination;
  • Provide before and after sales, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting support including being available by cell and email 24/7 as needed;
  • Coordinate and host NTI promotional sales and training events (BBQ’s, training, counter days, sponsorship events, etc.);
  • Initiate sales and business development activities, including distribution and channel strategy;
  • Development of regional strategy and tactical plans to implement and drive sales, sales campaigns and incentive programs;
  • Management of regional marketing initiatives;
  • Collect, analyze and report market intelligence for the region (competitor activities, incentives, regulations, best practices etc.);
  • Weekly brief summary reports are required (15 minutes to write / 5 minutes to read);
  • Initiate and develop NTI’s commercial business in the Western USA; responsibilities will include regular ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions with mechanical engineering firms and regular follow-up, design assistance, job site assessments, quotations, initial commissioning and on-site support; target as well large commercial heating/contracting companies

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience selling and supporting boilers, hydronic equipment, HVAC equipment, water heaters or related products through the wholesale distribution and/or buy-sell/bid-spec channel;
  • Experience developing, managing and closing technical product sales;
  • Technical proficiency with gas combustion products.

Travel Expectation: up to 75% travel throughout the region projected

Salary Expectation: competitive base + profit sharing; commensurate with skills & experience
